House Festival, Richmond

Imagine your dream festival…A place where everything is free (well, included in your ticket price). I was a very lucky girl yesterday, and as a guest of Samsung I was lucky to spend a weekday at the beautiful Marble Hill House in Richmond at Soho House’s yearly music & food festival. Think unlimited lobster, Pizza East pizzas & lamb meat balls, a cheese tent by Paxton & Whitfield, Oysters by Wright Bros, churros, Good & Proper coffee, free-flowing Belvedere cocktails all day. A fair ground? You got it, a massage? Well you are exhausted from all that eating, just head to the Cowshed. Quick manicure and makeover? No problem, get over the Cheeky tent where the Cowshed girls make you all sparkly again. From the moment the doors opened at 2pm (it finished at 10.30pm) and you wandered through the balloon and ribbon decorated pathway, you were about to entire a festival paradise.

All this, and the best band line up. Gabrielle Aplin, The 1975, Lulu James, Soul II Soul, Tom Odell, Kaiser Chiefs and Primal Scream. You could not have asked for anything more. It really was spectacularly organised. The only problem was that I had a fancy dress dinner party in the evening at Rock Lobsta (more lobster I cried!!!) so had to dash just as Rudimental arrived on stage. I had to go to my party in some sort of Lobster costume. No problem I thought, I headed straight to the children’s balloon artist who promptly made me a lobster hat to take with me (see below as proof). Wonderful.
