The Club at The Marriot Park Lane Mayfair, London

Luxury health and wellbeing space, The Club launched on Park Lane this month, and I was officially the first guest to experience the new Treatment Rooms.

London Marriott Hotel Park Lane has completed the renovation of The Club, a 342 square metre health and wellbeing space, which features the only hotel pool on Park Lane, and it’s rather plush.

Set in the heart of Mayfair in the basement of the hotel, the new interiors of The Club at Park Lane by RPW Design include a brand new Treatment Room, a refurbished steam room, pool, fitness space, reception area and changing rooms.

Offering a selection of bespoke massages in the new Treatment Room, a range of treatments by AromaWorks are provided, including a Bespoke Body Ritual using massage techniques, with a blend of premium essential oils, and The Absolute Facial which I had, a relaxing and effective facial treatment for all skin types using active ingredients.

Guests of the hotel and private members have 24-hour access to state-of-the-art gym facilities using their key cards. Life Fitness equipment and personal trainers are on hand, with a 12.5 metre heated pool for you to enjoy some laps after your workout.

Luxurious materials in neutral colours are featured throughout such as silver wave marble, natural stone and walnut timber. The leisure area has grand mosaic columns with dramatic sensory lighting. The comfortable loungers have been designed and manufactured by Coco Wolf, whilst Varaschin by PS Interiors have provided the arm chairs in the reception.

I enjoyed a 55 minute Absolute Facial,a wonderfully relaxing yet instantly effective facial treatment. Tailored to my requirements, with skincare containing premium essential oils and active ingredients including Coenzyme Q10 and Hyaluronic Acid.

Once my skin was thoroughly cleansed and exfoliated, a signature Facial Oil was massaged into my face, neck, chest and shoulders. A super hydrating Absolute Face Serum was left to melt into my skin whilst I enjoyed a hand energy point massage. I was positively glowing when I left.

The completion of The Club at Park Lane marks the final stage of the extensive renovation of London Marriott Hotel Park Lane’s interiors and will enrich the hotel’s exclusive offerings. All 152 bedrooms, five new suites, the lobby, Executive Lounge and meeting rooms were transformed by RPW Design and completed in June 2015. Check back soon for a post on my stay at the hotel.
