LWSY Goodwood

Who doesn’t love to wake up to presents. A beautiful Smythson for Veuve Clicquot notebook, the perfect accessory to document our weekend, with some very glamorous luggage accessories to keep us in the VCP way. Of course I woke up super early, A: to take advantage of the huge free standing bath tub, and B: to take a walk around the hotel and see the cars in the morning light. Such a short stay here you really want to soak it all up.

After stopping for lunch it was time to switch cars, poor Joan had taken her toll on my nerves. What can I say, I’m a small car girl, all that space and driving on the wrong side of the road had me pining for something a little more compact. So I switched to a Jaguar XK120.

We made it to Dieppe Ferry Port in plenty of time, again another opportunity for the fellow ferry passengers to come and talk to the pilots and take a look at all the amazing cars we were driving…

All lined up ready to board the 4 hour ferry crossing to Newhaven. Don’t worry the Ferrari was filled with champagne to keep us entertained…

Now this is amazing. This is the sea defence system at the ferry port, aren’t the colours incredible?!

Yes you can only imagine what the fellow passengers must have thought when 14 of us made a Veuve coloured camp on the top deck as we left the port, well, we had fun…

Finally arriving in Newhaven, it was time for our next surprise. Where were we going to be staying? After making it to our final destination by midnight, we had some dinner prepared for us and of course it would’ve been rude not to open a bottle or two of the 2004…
