Ending the month with one more trip to Paris. A gorgeous weekend with visits to the furniture fairs and markets, delicious lunches and 2 days of strolling the Parisian streets. Oh and also, if you haven’t been to Le Chateaubriand on Avenue de Parmentier, go. I was introduced to this restaurant the night I arrived, one of the 50 Best, the relaxed brasserie atmosphere is an absolute mask for the dishes they serve. Just beautiful.

RIP Sergio Rodrigues. The celebrated Brazilian designer who’s iconic mid-century design pieces have inspired designers decades on has died this week aged 86. His ‘Mole’ chair represented a great revolution in Brazilian design & holds a permanent place at the MOMA in NYC. You may recognise his designs as the wooden armchairs in the lobby at Belgraves Hotel, London or on the terraces at the Fasano Hotel in Rio.

I finally made it to Hoi Polloi at the Ace Hotel in London with the Hotel Culture this week. Amazing place.

I was lucky to receive an invitation on Thursday night to Ramusake‘s soft launch in South Ken last week. Taking inspiration from the izakayas of Japan, Ramusake is a members’ restaurant and late night bar on the Old Brompton Road.

September is shaping up rather nicely for LWSY. Beginning the month with Paris Design Week, i’ll be returning to London courtesy of Maison Veuve Clicquot. After an overnight stay at their Hôtel Du Marc (next week), a small group of us shall embark on the Veuve Clicquot run. Travelling to the Goodwood Revival in West Sussex from Reims, in a fleet of two seater vintage cars, taking the ferry over the channel to be transported back to the golden era of motorsport, and in full 40s, 50s or 60s costume. I can’t tell you how excited I am. What a wonderful 4 day adventure it’ll be… Follow me on Instagram & Twitter next weekend…
