Japanese designer Akihiro Mizuuchi has created a set of precise Lego moulds that turn melted chocolate into edible bricks. YUM. You get to eat the building after you build it. (Source Dezeen).

I’m off to Denmark this weekend. Well, Copenhagen first, then over to Sweden for the weekend then back to Copenhagen for the night to stay at the incredible Hotel Alexandra and visit &Tradition. More on there next week!

Last weekend I caught the BP Portrait exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. This portrait of the poet Simon Armitage by Paul Wright was my favourite. Mainly because it reminds me of my new Adidas Flux trainers 🙂

Have you been past Evisu in Covent Garden recently? Check out this amazing window treatment. Forget sheers, I want transfers in my next home!

Whilst we’re on the subject of geometrics, hows this for Ashley Hicks’s offering of his fathers designs. Definitely one for the ‘next flat’ folder….

Saturday 5th July

Weekends are for brunching and strolling. Except here at the Regency Cafe in Pimlico, you don’t brunch, you get what you’re given. A London institution, given an extra heads up as a location in the film Layer Cake.

There’s a new Curzon Cinema in Victoria. Forget The Electric, the screening rooms are so intimate you feel like you’re in your own private cinema. That and all the seats recline like Lazy Boys….

Soho House, you know the group. Imagine everything you could want in a day festival and this is what makes up the annual House Festival at Marble Hill Park in London. Two stages, Sam Smith, Kelis, Dizzee Rascal, MNEK, to name just a few playing during the day, with all the Soho House groups restaurants catering the event. Once you’re in, you don’t pay for a thing. Free flowing Grey Goose bar, oyster bars, champagne, Pizza East pizzas, Dirty Burger burgers, meatballs, cheese stations, everything. Heaven. Shame I was unable to get there just a couple of hours before it finished.

Last night I was thrilled to join 16 other London based designers to an evening at Soane Britain on Pimlico Road. For the evening Soane had turned their beautiful showroom into a gorgeous pop-up restaurant, with the team at The Shed supplying our seasonally foraged supper.

An absolutely beautiful evening, I must remember to pull out the menu I saved and share with you what we were made.

If you are in London and you haven’t made it to The Shed yet, you must go.

Mum & Dad LWSY

This weekend I headed down to my parents home in Somerset. The annual Bath & West Agricultural Show is just down the road from where Glastonbury Festival is held. Here are my parents with their stash of blooms at the end of the 3 day show.

The heavenly world of Feu de Beaumont, oh hello. This luxury gifts company established in 2012 by Jordanna Marshall and Alice Beaumont was inspired by the romance and inspiring streets of my favourite city, Paris. Feu de Beaumont at the height of our global recession aimed high and created a luxury product with a British heritage (plus these beautiful containers are keepers, you can reorder the inner candle!). With five scents, my favourite is Oudh. A fragrance originating from the wood of the tropical Agar tree, it’s precious dark resin produces the most decadent scent. A heady scent that is very LWSY. There are 3 designs, the glass vessel, the golden goblet and the larger 4 wick Golden Porringer. At £395 it’s costly but the scent speaks for itself. Give Jo Malone a miss next time and try one of these…

Next week I’m so excited to finally visit Le Dali at Le Meurice in Paris. Check back next week for the write up…

Le Bristol LWSY

I’m looking forward to staying at Le Bristol the weekend after next whilst I’ll be over for some meetings, (courtesy of PCC). I’ve popped my head in a few times, but never stayed the night. Full post on that once I’m back. For other Paris musings click here.

Shangri-La London

After a 3 hour stint at Guys Hospital yesterday I popped into the lobby of the new Shangri-La London to see what was happening there. We’re working to the 6th May when we can finally get into those lifts to see the rooms. My name is down, as soon as I have any new specs, I’ll be sharing with you. One thing I did notice is the beautiful sounds the chandeliers were making in the breeze of the revolving door. Very Tubular Bells…

I have a crazy thing for flooring, and in light of Céline’s new marble extravaganza I’ve had my eye on the retail market recently. One space of note is here, Maurizio Pecoraro’s atelier in Milan…

LWSY Givenchy

I won’t get started on the Givenchy store by Joseph Dirand. Other than I want to roll around on that floor.
