LWSY >>> Life is unpredictable, it changes with the Seasons
April showers bring May flowers so they say, and my did it rain for me in April. Seasons represent change, and that’s exactly what has been happening these past few weeks. Unexpected developments have seen me jump at the opportunity to work independently once again, and with a fabulous new team in a bright and energetic new design studio. More of which I can share next month but for now, I managed to have a pretty awesome May despite the Monday-Friday day time fluff. Nothing like an enforced positive outlook to keep you busy….
St Ives. One of my all time favourite places. When E took me to Ile de Ré for New Year I knew this was his version of my St Ives, and I was so excited to show him that we Brits have places just as beautiful. I’ve been coming here my whole life it feels like, and I was so happy to just sink into the weather for the weekend, and gorge on the entire menu at the Porthmeor Café whilst staying at our little family house on Mount Pleasant (excuse the plug but you can rent the place HERE).
For some pretty punchy morning coffee head to Mount Zion on the harbour front, then go and buy some dafs to take home…
Insane colours on our morning walk…

NEW YORK DESIGN WEEK 2015
My annual trip to my favourite Design Week of the year.
More on this in a separate post coming soon…
Flight essentials courtesy of Smythson, Globetrotter & Sophie Hulme 😉
Obligatory all American breakfast at the Waverley Diner to kick start the day.
Of course after a couple of days at Design Week we headed to the Hamptons. A place I have ALWAYS wanted to visit. Yes yes that typical cliché of getting the Jitney SATC style and wandering along the beaches in Bridgehampton, and strolling down the main street in Sag Harbor. So a couple of hours on the coach, and we picked up our hire car at the private airport. No sign of Beyoncé hoping off her jet that weekend but we did spot the Standard Hotel StndAIR plane which would’ve definitely got us there faster from Manhattan. Just a few pics here to give you a sneak peek of this amazing place…
First stop, the beach. Requested shells for mum which were promptly left in the back of the hire car 🙁 Trust me they were huge, I’m so sad. I’ll have to go back.
The Silas Marder Gallery in Bridgehampton
A sneak peek of of Artist Steve Miller’s home studio. What a treat to be talked through some of his work at his home in Sagaponak before heading back to Manhattan for the rest of Design Week. __________________________
Monday = ICFF, catching up with friends, suppliers and new designers…
Lucky Number SIX
A chilling sight at Ground Zero, but some striking architecture to look ahead…

A weekend in London? Shocking. Best catch up with my gals then 🙂
No month is complete without an obligatory trip to see my love in Paris, and you know what they say…
A weekend filled with love, happiness, fun, laughter, lots of wine and friends…
…and on a final note how mental are these multi coloured radishes at the beautiful Maison Plisson.
So all in all, a pretty awful month, yet again.
Over & Out from LWSY for the month of MAY.
