LWSY FRENCH RIVIERA > SUMMER VIBES IN ST TROPEZ, FRANCE

I’ve had my own pre-conceptions of St Tropez over the years. Super yachts, supermodels, pop stars, oligarchs and their pooches clogging up the ports and restaurants. I must admit though, our first visit pre-season staying at Petit Ermitage (have a quick look here) quickly dispelled all the rumours.

‘It’s like St Ives!” I said (just to wind him up), beautiful clear waters, cobbled streets, locals going about their daily lives. I could live here I thought. Market day is supposed to be epic. So we found ourselves back in St Tropez for the odd night or 3 over the summer break. We split our time between Petit Ermitage and staying with a friend by our favourite beach, La Plage de Salins. Here is a short photo diary capturing some of our favourite places…

Our favourite spot Petit Ermitage above, & below, market day in St Tropez…

Le  Sub is one of our favourite afternoon spots, whether for a diabolo menthe or a glass of rosé…

Evenings were set aside for watching the sunset back at our hotel, and dinners at Senequier before a stroll around the port before bed…

A short distance down the beach from Club 55 is our new favourite, Cabane BambouHave a gorgeous lunch with your toes deep in the sand. This restaurant / beach club can fill your entire day. Have a lazy lunch, and rent a sun bed. Day sorted.

I’ll leave you with Le Plage de Salins. What a special place. The deepest blue seas, the freshest fish served to you right on the beach. Heaven. Can’t wait to go back next summer already…
