LWSY April >>> The Monthly Hit of My Aventures…

April has been a month where I’ve been concentrating on sourcing for a design project in the Cotswolds. I’ve been looking across the country for everything from fire dogs, grates and grills, to Windsor chairs, side tables and decorative pieces. I’m writing this post from Paris today, where I’m writing a review on a new hotel called Grand Pigalle in the Pigalle district of the city. I’ve just got back from 4 hours at Les Puces, the world’s best antique and furniture market. I could have spent tens of thousands of euros this morning.

Now I am finally sat in the hotel wine bar with a pot of tea and some time to myself. We’re nearly at the end of this month, and looking back it’s been pretty busy. I had a long weekend in France taking part in the Breizh Epicure Run, I was home in Somerset for the Easter Weekend so went to explore Wells and Bath in the South West, I also was very lucky to be invited to a Private View of the McQueen exhibition at the V&A Museum. A quick whip around Hampton Court for the bric a brac shops. We found a few great finds…

Then down to Parsons Green Lane in London to the French House. A treasure trove of furniture, mirrors and lighting…

McQueen at the V&A Museum

I was also introduced to the recently opened Town House at the Kensington Hotel. As a guest of Perowne Charles Communications we were treated to a beautiful Afternoon Tea following the McQueen view.
