Les Belles Étoiles Celebrating 130 years of Mercedes-Benz at Le Grand Palais, Paris
Earlier this July, Mercedes-Benz transformed Le Grand Palais in the heart of Paris into a showcase of their 130 years of automotive design and engineering. ‘Les Belles Étoiles’ meaning the beautiful stars, is a metaphor for the 3 pointed star emblem of the brand. 80 cars were presented by date and class, including the current AMG-ranges, C-Class Cabriolet, the AMG GT S, SLR McLaren Coupe and my favourites G-Class and 300 SL with their stretched gullwings. Another favourite was their convertible 190SL and the banana yellow C111.
Continuing to shape the new vision of the automotive industry, potential cars of the future were also unveiled, whether they will come to life in the next 20 years is another story.
