Pez Vela, Barcelona by Grupo Tragaluz…
Barcelona couldn’t be a more perfect weekend destination for a Londoner. On a recent trip I discovered Pez Vela on the strip of decking below the W Hotel right on the beach front. Located at Paseo del Mare Nostrum, Pez Vela serves lunch & dinner 7 days a week. Think simple, high quality fresh ingredients resulting in a perfectly Spanish menu of freshly caught fish, rices and salads.
This beach cafe style restaurant is part of the Grupo Tragaluz umbrella, owners of Bar Lobo & Mordisco in Barcelona, and also Bar Tomate in Madrid. Designed by Spanish superstar Interiors guru Sandra Tarruella, the go to design studio in Spain, her team has made a relaxed and informal dining environment with some pretty slick furniture to boot. Using Roda’s Harp dining chairs with a mix of simple folding wooden chairs, May Day lights by Konstantin Grcic hanging from the trees, and Spanish brand Santa & Cole’s Cesta Lamps can be seen below.
