MY PARIS // La Maison Plisson, 93 Boulevard Beaumarchais, 75003
One of our favourite healthy lunchtime/weekend late lunch destinations. Close to Merci, it’s a 15 minute walk from our house, about 7 minutes from Place des Vosges. As close as you’re going to get to a Daylesford in Paris (organic cafe and shop combo) think less eggs on rye and more bowls of goodness, healthy bangers and mash, and vegetarian options by the bucket load.
Sup on lemonades from hipster Parisian brands as well has local beers and wines. The open bakery at the back means you can watch them bake baguettes which you’ll inevitably buy on your way out before popping to the store next door.
There’s a bakery on the cafe/restaurant side, with a heated and covered outdoor terrace in front. Pop next door for the most beautiful looking organic farm style shop.
The ground floor houses an abundance of seasonal fruit and veg, fromagerie, charcuterie counter and butcher where you can pick up a rack of lamb, rotisserie chicken for your Sunday lunch or pre-order anything you fancy for the week.
The basement is filled with dried goods, pastas, tinned fish, sardines, jams, and everything you don’t need but buy it for the packaging. The wine shop in the back is really a great find though, stocking our favourite Domaine de Fontenille rosé.
Shop with care though, before you know it you’ve spent 75€ on a few things for dinner.
