LWSY Canada Goose, Regents Street, London
As winter arrives here in Europe, we’ve all no doubt been reaching to the back of our wardrobes rediscovering our winter coats that we’ve had stowed away all year. Some years though, it’s time for an upgrade, and I know just the place to send you…
The 9th November 2017 marked the opening day of the much anticipated Canada Goose London Flagship Store at 244 Regent Street. The 5,000 square foot location brings the Canada Goose story to life (did you see their 60th anniversary book I recently wrote about?) and features Canadian design elements, including marble quarried and brought over from British Columbia.
“Opening our first European flagship store is another milestone for Canada Goose in a year where we’re celebrating our 60th anniversary. London is a truly world-renowned shopping destination and I am proud to bring our Canadian heritage, Made-in-Canada craftsmanship and best-in-class product to the city’s historic streets,”
Dani Reiss, President & CEO, Canada Goose.
My first user experience with Canada Goose came to light when I was in need of some serious insulation for an Igloo experience in Switzerland. Goose to the rescue, I have never felt warmer in their Snow Mantra Parka, there I was padding through the snow high up in the Swiss Alps in the worlds warmest parka, thinking how would I have ever gotten through the night without it.
I might find myself a little over insulated if I considered wearing one around the streets of Paris, alas i’m on the hunt for a more city friendly style for this winter, and there’s no better store to visit to try on their full collection.
Also I have my newborn daughter to think about this winter, she’ll be in a baby sling for these cold months to keep her as warm as possible, so I need a style that can incorporate her. Little tip though if you already own a Goose coat and you’re pregnant/baby wearing, have you seen this bump extension panel? Genius…
Back to the store though, offering the broadest assortment of seasonal collections and exclusive collaborations anywhere in Europe, including their new knitwear and all their accessories, you’ll discover visual moments throughout the store inviting consumers to engage and learn more about the company’s 60-year history.
There is also a selection of vintage pieces from the company’s 60-year archive which you’ll be able to view.
Customers can book personal shopping appointments with brand ambassadors, leave purchases at the store whilst they shop, as well as enjoy the store’s carry-out to car or ship to home service.
As testament to the brand’s role as a champion of Made in Canada, the store showcases Canadian artisans and craftsman, such as Jason Carter, an Aboriginal visual artist, whose soapstone-carved polar bears displayed throughout the store are a nod to Canada Goose’s long-time relationship with Polar Bears International.
